Human factors in Medicine Engineering
Human-factors engineering is concerned with human performance, behavior as well as training in systems, which are concerned with man-machine system. This branch of medicine engineering is concerned with biological and medical research also.
Human factors approach to design in medicine engineering also includes environmental medicine, psychology, sociology, and toxicology. The study basically aims at combining the human factors with industrial design as well as operational research.
So far as medicine engineering is concerned two general characteristics are involved in the practical designing works.
The basic problem before the medicine engineering expert here is to find out the method and process of integration of human factors into medical science systems. In the past, the experts in medical engineering tend to ignore the effects of human behavior, which is rather complex and unpredictable, and as such, the problems of human factors approach to design in medicine engineering was dealt with quite subjectively.

All these have impact on the formulation of pharmaceutical drugs and therefore all of them are important parts of medicine engineering.
Thus medicine engineering has been able to pioneer production of such drugs that have caused the curing of many of the difficult diseases. The recent development in the field of medicine engineering is that of preventive medicines.
A high degree of specialization is required for expansion of in depth knowledge in the field application of human factors, and one of them is the designing of medicine engineering. Two of the most important fields of such medical engineering application are organ transplantation and exchange transfusion. which occupies a prime place in this specialized field.
Due to application of human factors in designing of systems in medicine engineering, certain branches of medical science, such as, precision diagnosis, use of ultrasound, computerized axial tomography etc. have developed extensively.
This has resulted in development of expertise in the field of medicine engineering and improvement in pharmaceutical drugs and their preparations. Induction of new technology in the field of medicine engineering has proved to be a boon for the human society.
